Research Conference: “Women Leading the Regeneration of the Planet through a Conservation Entrepreneurship Lab”.

Organised by: International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Technology at the Universidad Politécnica del Centro, Mexico.

In this talk, I presented insights at the intersection of biodiversity conservation, gender, and entrepreneurship. I introduced the concept of the Conservation Entrepreneurship Lab—a social innovation approach that reimagines traditional conservation models by centring women’s leadership and regenerative practices.

This work challenges the dominant “Noah’s Ark” paradigm in conservation by proposing a shift toward a “Noah’s Entrepreneurial Ark” — a model rooted in social innovation, inclusion, and the power of women to regenerate biodiversity. Through this lab-based framework, I explore how gender-responsive, locally grounded entrepreneurship can become a vital tool in decolonising conservation and advancing planetary regeneration.
